Morning of April 3, 1982. Saturday.

My present goal is going over my top 15,000 significant dreams (primarily 1966-1991) and offering a full online explanation relative to their meaning. This is particularly interesting and fulfilling for me, as more and more older dreams have been “unlocked” over the past several years, though I have not enhanced the majority of online versions yet.

Dream notes:

I am in La Crosse, Wisconsin on the south side of town and west of the main library. There is a tornado coming in our direction, or so it seems during the first scenarios. I can hear the train-like rumbling sounds. I am with some friends and we and other people are running everywhere, mostly north.

All of a sudden, there is a strange screeching sound (possibly caused by real-life environmental sounds intruding into my dream, but that only makes my dream more viable in this particular case). We look back and it turns out to have been an enormous caterpillar spinning a cocoon and was not a tornado. Everything is quiet now that the caterpillar has entered this stage and is within the giant cocoon, apparently sleeping and not threatening in any way. Additionally, I get the impression that It was also not actually chasing us. We just happened to originally be in the area it was moving towards during a faux chase.

Explanation:

This dream has been fully decoded. Tornadoes have been revealed in every dream I have checked (at least for me) to represent the bottom half of the Merkaba (even going back to my earliest dreams). (Not only that, in certain states, I experience the Merkaba manifesting simply by touching my wife Zsuzsanna on the shoulder, which appears as two blue tornadoes uniting, rotating in opposite directions, one upside-down, with extraordinarily vivid impressions which I can only describe as seeing hundreds of different wedding ceremonies through human history, from oldest to newest.) The transition from tornado to caterpillar-in-cocoon implies a waiting stage prior to changing into a butterfly (a type of personal ascension or implying the state of readiness for meeting my “dream girl” in real life).

The appearance of the caterpillar seems to be a continuation of earlier dreams where it represented one of two girls (Susan R and the “mystery girl”/wife-to-be prior to confirmation). This is even more obvious due to the fact that Susan R and my wife-to-be drew identical anthropomorphic caterpillars in a top hat (as if one had been traced over the other) as a panel of an otherwise dissimilar story. (One of my relatives seemed scared and angry by seeing this, though over time, changed their way of thinking, and was glad I had validated my “dream girl” after so many clues over so many years. After all, two people who never met and who have unique connections to the dreamer, the only two in fact, do not just draw the same drawing without other forces at work.)

Additionally, my dream’s setting is near the same setting as other dreams of this time period that otherwise solely involved the “mystery girl” (that is, near the statue of the girl at the main library in La Crosse, called “Reflections III” - which is “coincidentally” the title of a 300-page novel my wife had started working on at age fifteen before we met, after finishing a story called “W’s Dream”, W being the last name of when the “mystery girl” had elements of Brenda W as a “stand-in”).

“The caterpillar makes an appearance in a few other places outside ‘Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland’, such as 'American McGee’s Alice’ and the novel 'The Looking-Glass Wars’; in both of these spin-offs he plays the role of an oracle.”
