Hey! What's with the turkeys?

Morning of September 6, 2013. Friday.

I am back in La Crosse with my family in my sister's house on Loomis Street (which I originally was going to rent the upstairs of - even had it reserved - before deciding to come to Australia due to eventual concerns about my wife traveling alone all that way). The area is much the same as in real life, but with two main differences. The fence between our yard and the neighbor's yard to the north is taller and made of sturdy wire (rather than close wood slats that offered full privacy). The design of the open space of the thicker, solid wire (which I think is octagonal or rounded octagonal) is about the size of a cup in each case, big enough for a chick or smaller bantam to get through. The other difference is that there is a wooden fence and long gate in the back (about waist-high), cutting off the yard from the alley (which was fully open in real life). The gate is about one and a half times the width of a car.

In my dream, I am in the process of sorting out hundreds of documents, magazines and similarly-sized items around the A4 range. There are about four larger piles about a foot or more high and a few smaller piles of perhaps ten to twenty items. The piles include everything from old copies of Mad Magazine, to teacher qualifications, registrations, and worksheets for various subjects as well as handwritten notebook pages of various grades and even exotic travel brochures and a few 45gsm items. I spend some time looking at a notebook-sized white folder and need to open the pockets more - which are still somewhat sealed from production - and at one point, they almost remind me of freezer bags in how they can (or should?) reseal. There seems to be three sets of vertically arranged pockets in both the front and back cover.

For some reason, a box arrives at the back of our house (to the west of our large house), some sort of package in the (regular or non-UPS?) mail, possibly from Murray McMurray Hatchery. Doing some research, my dream was incorrect in the minimum number of turkeys shipped at once, which is supposed to be fifteen, but (I think) there are only a dozen in the box that arrived in my dream (I have not been involved in chicken farms since I was sixteen, and we never had turkeys, although my wife did as a child).

It is quite odd in mood; I let three turkeys out of the box for some reason (which is somewhat like the kind of box you get a cake in) while sitting on the floor; two already seem a bit older, one still seemingly newly hatched. There is a strange awareness that they are in some sort of suspended animation in the box and wrapped up like a pangolin, and even when out and running about, can be placed back in the box to immediately go into suspended animation (or even somehow become younger) again. I have a slight concern wondering if they had all survived so long without food or warmth, but again, the idea of suspended animation is dominant. They are all in one cluster, not moving at all or even breathing, it seems (yet still alive or able to be "activated" by simply taking them out of the box).

A car (a green four-door early 80s Impala) drives through our backyard from the alley from the north (possibly out from the neighbors backyard) and goes along the side of the yard to the south of the house in a somewhat careless manner, though I am sure the gate was closed and even see that it is (at least at that point). I am very annoyed at this.

While in the backyard and complaining about people driving through our yard, I soon see two men next door (related to or living with the people that drove through our yard, it seems); a younger, darker Latino (apparently from South America) of about twenty-five years and a white Australian to his left of about forty (to my right when I am facing north), both in casual dress. They seem very annoyed that I have their property (I guess, the turkeys - delivered by mistake to my address). The three "active" turkeys go out of our house and through the fence into their yard, but it is highly likely they will later just wander back into my yard unless they are caged by the two men (which is not implied at the time). At times, it looks like they have no heads, which kind of makes me wonder a bit, but that turns out to be how they are walking, eating, and moving, almost reminding me of Polish chickens at times (when Polish chickens present the illusion of having no heads at certain angles). The younger man clearly says rather "religiously" (as if from a Biblical text) "¿Dónde están los otros nueve?" with "otros" standing out louder and more "musically" - and I assume he means the turkeys (but maybe not). I say in English that I will give them all to them soon, but it comes out more and more like gibberish as I try to explain the situation and how it was not my intent to take their turkeys. That is about the point where my dream starts to fade.

UPDATE: Turkeys are seen as the "dumbest birds" (that will drown in the rain or in their own water trough), yet the number twelve suggests the Council of Twelve. According to one website the Council of Twelve are ("at this moment"...cough): "Jesus Christ, Mother Mary, Archangel Michael, St Germaine, Kwin Yin, Paramahansa Yogannanda, Master Kuthumi, Lord Metatron...and others...". I am almost waiting for the "second version" where they replace "...and the rest"/"...and others" with "the professor and Mary Ann".

Still, looking more closely, this seems to hint at the "Cage of Ancient Secrets" (The Cage of Ancient Secrets) dream regarding birds "coming to life" or having been implied to possibly be in "suspended animation". Also, in both dreams the intended birds were much smaller than usual (as well as being "loose" from cages at one point). Here, the turkeys were a bit like bantam (Polish, at one point seeming headless) chickens and the quetzals were somewhat like hummingbirds - so, there is some sort of link going on (of some kind)...perhaps. This (turkeys) dream also has someone from South (or, upon looking again, more likely Central America relative to speaking Spanish rather than Portuguese) as the dominant character (the one who asked "Where are the other nine?" in Spanish), suggesting a possible Nahua connection regarding the later dream's quetzal element. This is sort of interesting, as another dreamer on here recently dreamed of a mention of Montezuma, who the dominant character could have been in this dream on another look if my suspicions are correct.
