I was in the ancient Middle East and saw a plant that grew there. It was a Rose bush growing in sandy soil. The leaves were small and dusty green. The flowers were like a modern pink Wild Rose, only much smaller and less bright in color. In their center was another part of the flower that was white, tubular, and grew upwards. The flowers were like dusky pink saucers holding white vases.
The most amazing thing was that the white tips of the Rose flowers could actually ignite with flame, making them look like little candles. Somebody explained to me that because of the way this Rose bush could burn, it was associated with passion.
