I've lost the charger for my cell phone and won't be able to use it since it's run out of electricity. So i decide i better get another.
As i'm walking along the road i see a charger that looks like it might fit sitting by the side of the road - presumably lost by someone else. I pick it up and see that it is one of those chargers that is good for almost anything because it has a rotating wheel that allows you to select a variety of recharge settings. Perfect i think and am ready to take it when...
I notice it is with a bunch of other cords and chargers lying by the side of the road and i wonder what they are all doing there together. I decide that it is a common charging station and that the charger i was going to take isn't lost at all but here as part of this group facility. So i decide it would be wrong to take it. I also think that this station is set up to charge people's cars.
Curious i have a look at the recessed electrical outlet that the cords all feed into. There is something a little odd and possibly dangerous about it.
Someone going by says to me, "Can you pass me that videocam," which i then notice is plugged in recharging. It doesn't look like a very good one, it's a dull red colour, and i dont get the feeling that it actually belongs to this passerby. So i say "no" because i don't want to help them steal it. They continue on without taking it.
There's a lot of messed up cords here, i am starting to get the feeling that the users might be stealing the electricity since it is some jury-rigged outlet in the middle of a country road. I even wonder if it is still in use (despite having just seen them charging a videocam) and whether some or all of this jumble of wires might be forgotten about by the original owners.
Once again i think i might steal the charger to replace the one i have lost.
