I have finished work and should be heading home - but instead i decide to text my friend Yves to see if he is available for a drink and a talk.

I have brought a small bottle of Polish voldka with me (which i know GD likes) and ask who would like some. Yves says "yes" and after a comment like "i probably shouldn't but..." GD also agrees.
I am in the kitchen pouring but the small bottle has been poorly designed (probably deliberately so i think) and it sprays quite a bit and so much of the alcohol spills into one of the woman's drinks and some into the ice cream for the other. Very annoying. I eventually am able to pour the two small glasses - one a shot glass and the second larger and stout.
I do my best to clean up by licking/ drinking up the excess alcohol but am unable to get it all so everything ends up a bit alcoholic. I hope it doesn't taste too bad.
As i start an apology a little later one of the women says "ya, i noticed the taste" or somesuch. No one seems that pissed.
I am concerned about returning home late from work; but not overly so.
