the hang man

several people were gathered that had come to see itom play hang. they knew him, but did not know me. itom had to step away from the group and go behind the scenes and pull together his equipment for up for his upcoming itom lab electronic set. i was left with these people and a hang in my lap. most of them followed itom enthusiastically. a few sat with me. i spoke to the hang drum like it was a person. i asked it how it would like me to play it. it then transformed into a He. A humanoid looking yogi man, but he was definitely extraterrestrial. He moved into various yogic asanas, including a perfect head stand in my lap. His body was much smaller, so he could fit in my lap easily... The most astounding thing about him was that in his humanoid form, I could play him and he would sound like a Hang. He moved from headstand into upsidedown lotus, hugging his lotus legs into his body. He urged me to play him... As I played, I asked him if he'd like to be spinning while I play, and he said with fervor Yes!! The dream started to morph into a lucid dream workshop, and I asked him about the "spinning" technique of activating the dreambody. He regarded the practice as very important.

I find myself now in the audience of a lucid dream workshop. A middle-aged woman was dishin' it out with grace and style and I remember observing, taking notes of the way she spoke, the things she said, but foremost the way she delivered.
___________
side sprout: In my waking, Im about to present lucid dreaming techniques in a week, so I am researching and condensing information and working with my own "fear" of public speaking and style of delivery. Yesterday I did attend an advanced lucid dreaming workshop and took note of all these things. Humanity's #1 fear is public speaking (so I've heard). Not death, not injury, but complete vulnerability. That says a lot!

I find that the most effective speakers I've experienced are ones that are calm, centered and have powerful presences, they pause a lot, their chests are open, they speak deliberately, no fillers. Their eyes are clear, and most importantly they are humorous and know how to tell a story. Mastery of this is a powerful key if we wish to share the shining gifts we have been carrying around in the dark silence.
