While riding the Lightrail today, I had a moment of contemplation and then visceral exaltation while listening to a song by Geomatic and simply being...I came into contact with a presence that was extremely sublime and ineffable...my mind tried to categorize it as "Light" or something high and holy and polar such as that, accompanied by a more white-based vision and then a swirl of yin-yang, but I felt the dense air of ego and human perception around it and let that veil drop...and I had a glimpse of some circular energy emerging from a sea of white light that completely transcended that of light or darkness...it "felt" way more than it "seemed"...if feeling alone can even be ascribed to it. I let go and sat in it as the experience of "outer" translated into "inner"...after reading a bit later on tonight, I began thinking about something I've thought about before...
Visions, manifestations, displays, Togal...they can lead one to insight and discovery, but are not the jewel, or the ultimate ends or goals of consciousness or ventures into mysticism, and can also lead one astray. It's that of the silence, awareness of emptiness of pure primordial essence, Trekcho, which "matters"...this thought creates an interesting dilemma of sorts for a visual artist who works to depict visions...they are as unsubstantial as that of the material...ultimately, however, it provides one with a challenge to not always be so direct in communicating certain things with visual art...
