Jack and Geneva and I walked back over to the parking area in San Francisco where my vehicles were kept. It was quite a hefty daily charge, so I looked forward to getting them out of there. We had been attending some classes in the city, and I had made the trek back and forth with vehicles parked here a few times in my earlier dreamspaces.
I went over by a rushing river at the back of the lot, and pulled a new Jeep SUV out of the mud easily, without even putting it in 4WD. I told them to hop in, but they shook their heads, saying they were planning on walking home.
Surprised, I jumped out of the Jeep. "Well, in that case, I'll just fly directly." I whistled as we walked back toward the center of the lot, and a terra-cotta Chevrolet Pickup with a very old body style (like 50's Camero) drove itself over to me. "I'm pretty sure I can land this right on the road near my house." My mind went to the straightaway near what seemed to be my old house way up Caney Fork in North Carolina.
Jack told me the river through the canyon has been very high lately, and I should be very cautious if flying under the bridges, because the water and boulders give very little room beneath the trellises. I looked at him strangely, thinking of the sharp boulder canyons of New Mexico, and said "I'll be flying much higher than that. I'm not trying to pull off Top Gun in the Rio Grande. Besides, with a little practice," I made a steering tilting motion, "I'm sure I can fly through any obstacles."
In some way, talking about it was flying it, and then I was landing and parking down the road from my house. I met my Mom and brother Sebastian and we walked down a trail along the river toward the house.
Along the way, a group of many ducks were crossing the path. A big mother mallard was pregnant. They didn't run, and I peeked into the brush where they were waddling, and there were a few cats hanging out there too.
Further down the trail was a group of people hanging out around the outside of a house and along its porch and balcony. It was a meeting of people from Marin, a jovial bunch laughing and discussing important topics.
A pair of young boys left the group and walked with me toward my house, or my Mom's house... I heard her up ahead asking if I had the key, because it was locked, and I pulled my keys out of my pocket. I had my light up key I use at my current home, and several brass colored keys of different shapes.
The boys were saying something to each other about not giving away their server codes. I laughed at them and said "I have my own servers for security, guys." They looked taken aback, and I had the sense that they were up to some mischief.
Mystics have always traditionally considered the feminine aspect of
the universe as a chest, a house or a wall, as well as an enclosed garden. Another
symbolic association is that which equates the house (and the above, related
forms) with the repository of all wisdom, that is, tradition itself (4). In architectural symbolism, on the other hand, the house carries not only an overall symbolism but also particular associations attached to each of its component parts.
Nevertheless, the house as a home arouses strong, spontaneous associations with
the human body and human thought (or life, in other words), as has been confirmed empirically by psychoanalysts. Ania Teillard explains this by pointing
out that, in dreams, we employ the image of the house as a representation of the
different layers of the psyche. The outside of the house signifies the outward
appearance of Man: his personality or his mask. The various floors are related to
the vertical and spatial symbols. The roof and upper floor correspond to the head
and the mind, as well as to the conscious exercise of self-control. Similarly, the
basement corresponds to the unconscious and the instincts (just as sewers do, in
symbols pertaining to the city). The kitchen, since this is where foodstuff is
transformed, sometimes signifies the place or the moment of psychic transmutation in the alchemical sense. The intercommunicating rooms speak for themselves. The stairs are the link between the various planes of the psyche, but their
particular significance depends upon whether they are seen as ascending or descending. Finally, there is, as we have said, the association of the house with the
human body, especially regarding its openings, as was well understood by
Artemidorus Daldianus (56).

The various ancient and modern vehicles are corruptions of the
essential symbol of the chariot. Those that possess some individual characteristics are connected with existence itself; those that are generic in character pertain
to the collective life (56). According to Jung, the particular type of vehicle that
appears relates to the individual’s characteristic movement—whether lively or
slow, regular or irregular—or the character of his inner life or his mind, or whether
his ideas are his own or borrowed, and so on (32). Every vehicle is an expression
of the body (including the mind and thought) or, in other words, of the spirit in its
existential aspect. Thus, from the symbolic point of view, to see in the imagination, or in dreams, a chariot or a car on fire has the same significance as the vision
of a man in an orange-coloured tunic (since orange is the colour of fire).
